Laura Forer
Technical Writer & Editor
As a technical writer and editor, I enjoy transforming complex information into clear, concise content that saves people time and helps them feel empowered.
My foundation in journalism and creative writing, paired with extensive client success and project management experience, have all prepared me with the skills needed to excel in technical writing. I have a meticulous attention to detail that I’ve learned to use for good, and I’m strategic in my approach to projects to help unknowns become answerable knowns.
In past roles, I spearheaded multiple initiatives, including crafting comprehensive user guides for SMS client-facing products and writing brand voice guidelines. I honed my editorial skills at MarketingProfs, where I launched and managed sponsored content products and edited various marketing collateral.
In every position I’ve held, I’ve been recognized for my ability to bridge the gap between technical complexities and user comprehension. My proactive nature extends beyond documentation, as I have taught myself skills such as SQL and HTML, and I am currently expanding my skillset through certifications in AI Technical Writing and XML Writing.

SMS Documentation
Problems: The company was having trouble selling their SMS solution due to poor customer onboarding experiences. Furthermore, clients who were using SMS were hesitant to increase their spend because the company didn't seem to have expertise in the space, leading to longer onboarding times, unexpected fees for clients, and delays overall.
Solutions: Client Success Managers needed to be able to help lead clients through SMS onboarding and be better positioned to upsell additional SMS services.
I created documentation to set expectations around SMS processes and help Client Success Managers lead the onboarding experience.
Results: Launch time for SMS projects decreased by approximately 30%, and clients stopped seeing unexpected charges, which helped CSMs more easily upsell additional SMS opportunities.
